Trends and discussions in the internationalisation of higher education in Germany
Universities in Germany have recently increased efforts to recruit international students, and many courses are offered in English. The universities have implemented support programmes and international student offices support applicants and students, for example in finding accommodation. At the same time, Germany has been reluctant to charge international students tuition fees and a fairly new debate has emerged: how can the process of integrating an increasing number of students from abroad be made sustainable?
