Das von der Europäischen Kommission im 7. Forschungsrahmenprogramm geförderte Projekt PRIMAS (Promoting Inquiry in Mathematics and Science Education across Europe) hat zum Ziel, den mathematisch-naturwissenschaftlichen Unterricht im Schulalltag um forschendes und schülerzentriertes Lernen zu erweitern. Neue innovative Unterrichtsformen sollen Schüler/innen helfen, Kompetenzen darin zu erwerben, unbekannte, realistische Probleme eigeninitiativ zu lösen, sich neues Wissen anzueignen und auch im Team zu arbeiten. Das Projekt wird von der Pädagogischen Hochschule Freiburg koordiniert. Es arbeiten 14 Hochschulen aus 12 Ländern Europas zusammen. Das Projekt hat eine Laufzeit von 2010 bis 2013.

The project PRIMAS (Promoting Inquiry in Mathematics and Science Education across Europe) is funded by the European Commission by the 7th Framework Program. The overall objective of the project is promoting a more widespread uptake of inquiry-based learning in mathematics and science at both primary and secondary levels across Europe. The project is coordinated by the German Pädagogische Hochschule Freiburg. It consists of 14 participating higher educational institutions from 12 different European countries. The project is running from 2010 up to 2013.
