Das Gesetz zur Anerkennung von im Ausland erworbenen Berufsabschlüssen ist 2012 in Kraft getreten und wird vom Bundesinstitut für Berufsbildung (BIBB) jährlich im Auftrag der Bundesregierung evaluiert. Der Bericht 2017 zieht Bilanz über fünf Jahre Anerkennungsgesetz. Er präsentiert Daten zu der Anzahl an Anträgen auf Anerkennung, Qualifikaztionsniveaus, Erwerbsstatus, positiv beschiedenen Fällen.

In 2012, the Federal Government implemented the Recognition Act for an improved recognition of professional qualifications obtained abroad and subsequent integration of foreign applicants to the German labour market. The Federal Institute of Vocational Education and Training has since issued annual monitoring reports. In 2017, the monitoring report presented figures regarding the first five years, e.g. the number of applicants and seekers of advice, individual qualification levels and success.
