This activity has students explore two proposals to tax the rich, the historical precedent for them, and their possible benefits and pitfalls (USA: TeachableMoment 2019). 
Follow the Money
In this New York Times lesson, students learn about how “super PACs” are influencing the 2012 presidential campaign. They then use a technique called “structured academic controversy” to debate whether or not wealthy individuals and organizations should be allowed to engage in unlimited spending to influence elections (2012).
How do early childhood education systems differ around the world?
While the U.S. spends 0.2 percent of G.D.P. on early childhood education (children 2 and under), the other wealthy countries in the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development spend an average of 0.7 percent  on toddlers, mainly through heavily subsidized child care (OECD 2021).
