Historiana is an on-line educational multimedia tool that offers multi-perspective historical sources to supplement national history textbooks (EuroClio – European Association of History Educators 2023).

Students learn how and why conflict was managed in Europe 1648-1945 (Historiana 2023). 

By setting a source in context in this activity, students can infer about imperialism in the years before 1914 (Historiana 2023).

Learners start by thinking about child labour in the present and then move on to consider child labour before and during the Industrial Revolution, in the UK, Germany and the USA (Historiana 2023).

This collection of viewpoints is grouped into three chronological units to give a perspective on the violent conflict in northern Ireland in the last part of the 20th century. 1) The Troubles in the period from the 1960s to the 1990s, 2) The Good Friday Agreement (1996 - 1998), 3) Brexit (2016 – present).
